Wraps

Many modern washable nappies still require a seperate waterproof wrap.  If you are looking for a real nappy with a waterproof wrap built in, have a look at these Pocket Nappies

Using a seperate waterproof wrap does give you a very reliable nappy as you have two layers of protection against leaks.  Having said that, most pockets nappies on the market today are also very reliable against leaks.  Waterproof wraps are available in so many different designs so you can have different colours/patterns for every day of the week!  Remember though that you don't really see the nappy much when it is under clothing so don't get carried away!

At the moment we sell PUL waterproof wraps which are fantastic.  They are breathable, they do not retain smell or moisture and really just require an airing in between uses.  Unless of course they get poo on them in which case you can pop them in with your nappy wash, wash with your other washing or just hand rinse them with a bit of liquid soap.  We have found Mothereaseand Tots Bots Flexiwraps  to be by far the best for durability.  Some of our wraps have been used on 3 children and are still going strong.
