This is a very popular, award winning cotton nappy, it is very absorbent and looks extremely cute when it is on baby (they are known as the ‘fairy baby’ nappy!)

This nappy is available in 3 sizes, though you will probably only ever need sizes 1 and 2.  Some people have just gone straight to size 2 and folded down the front of the nappy to fit a newborn but this would be quite bulky for the first few months. (This is only really an option with the Nappi Nippa version and not the Aplix version. We do not keep size 3 in stock so if you would like to purchase this size, please contact us and we will be happy to arrange a special order

You will need to purchase a separate outer wrap to use with this nappy. All of the wraps that we stock are compatible with this nappy.

This is a lovely nappy from Tots Bots.  It is made from bamboo - one of the most sustainable materials you will find, bamboo grows centimetres in just a day.  It is also an incredibly soft fabric, you really need to feel it to believe it!  Some of this softness will be lost with washing, especially if you live in a hard water area - although it will still remain softer than a cotton nappy.

This nappy is really slim fitting which is one of the reasons it is so popular.  It is also very absorbent, 60% more absorbent than cotton.  The downside of the extra absorbency is that it does take longer to dry.

Available in two sizes, Size 1 will fit from around 8 - 18 lbs and size 2 from 18 - 35 lbs.  They are available as 2 fastenings, either Aplix (velcro) or popper.

The popper version of size 2 can be used from about 10 lbs through to potty training - this works by folding it down at the front.  You will not be able to do this with the aplix version.

You will need a waterproof outer wrap with this nappy, either a tots bots or motherease would be a good choice.

Customer review:  Out of the six types of washable nappy I have used, this is my favourite. They are more absorbant and less bulky than cotton nappies, even with a couple of boosters in place. I have also found that they adapt well to baby's changing shape and they have  fitted my son consistently well and over a longer period of time than any of my other nappy's. They also remain incredibly soft, even after lots of washing and I have not yet known them to stain. They have been criticised for the length of time it takes to dry them, which just goes to show how efficient they are at retaining moisture! If you don't own a tumble dryer, this may well be an issue for you. I find that if I get them on the line in the morning they are usually dry by the end of the day unless the weather is a bit dreary, in which case I finish them in the tumble dryer. Otherwise they might need a second day on the line, which is fine if you've got plenty of them. I like the poppers on the bamboozle too. You can overlap the side ones to get just the right fit and they don't come undone.

The Bimble is a lovely nappy for a newborn.  It is really trim fitting so is not as bulky on a small baby as some can be.  the inner section of the bimble pulls out for faster drying time.

It is made of four layers of terry and one layer of fleece which is the part which is against babies skin, this provides a stay dry layer, so no further liners are needed.

The Bimble is a shaped nappy and now comes in 3 sizes.  All 3 nappies can be used from birth - with the size 1 and 2 nappies you would fold them down at the front, obviously these would be fairly bulky on a newborn though.

Size 0 is the smallest size -this will probably fit up to around 15lbs or 6 months - depending on the size of your baby.  You would then need to move onto size1, or you could go straight to The Bumble.  The Bimble has a good resale value as it is a very popular and VERY cute nappy!  You could also keep your bimbles to use as lovely soft boosters in other nappies - or for stuffing pocket nappies such as the Wonderoo.  If doing this, be sure to put the fleece layer of the bimble facing downwards - if it faces upwards in a pocket lined with fleece then they will not allow absorbtion to happen.

Because the inner layer is fleece, this means that it will stay soft against your babie's skin - even if you live in a hard water area.

The Bumble is a great size 2 nappy but can also be used 'birth to potty' 

This nappy has a terry outer and a fleece inner with a booster that snaps into the inside of the pocket.  This means that it is very quick drying, whilst also giving very good absorbency and containment.  The fleece inner draws wetness away from the baby's skin and into the terry - keeping them nice and dry.

To use on a newborn baby: first remove the booster then fold the nappy into itself where you will find 2 poppers that will hold it in place.  Use a nappy nippa to pull any extra fabric together and get a nice snug fit.  This will give you a bulkier nappy than, say the Bimble or another sized nappy but if you want to buy just one set of nappies this is a great option.  Made in the UK and at a very reasonable price, the Bumble is a great choice.

Additional boosters can be added later on if you need to - just pop them into the pocket.  If you did start off using the Bimble these make a great booster inside the Bumble - just make sure that you put them in the pocket with the fleece side down.


Size 8 - 35 lbs

Available in white, Blue, Lilac, Lemon or Turquoise.  The white option is £7.50, other colours will be charged at £8.00

Very similar to the Diddy Diaper design, this nappy is made  from lovely soft bamboo terry.

Fastens with Aplix (velcro) for ease of use with lengthy tabs at the waist to ensure a good fit with flexibility.

This nappy comes with a bamboo booster which pops into a little pocket at the back of the nappy.  This means it will dry faster than some other bamboo nappies.  

This is a very cute nappy, slim fitting and with good absorbency.  An added bonus is that you can add extra boosters to the pocket when needed.  It has elasticated legs and waist which ensure a comfortable fit with good containment.

Available in size 1 or size 2.  Size 1 will fit aprox 7 - 18 lbs and size 2 will fit from approx 18 - 40 lbs.  The size 2 nappy can be folded down at the front and used as a birth to potty nappy - although this will initially be quite bulky on a newborn.

Can be tumble dried on low.  Wash at 40 - 60 degrees.
