About Us

Green Mums is a family run business and was set up following the birth of our daughter, Lily in 2006.
We were determined to give her the best start in life and decided straight away that we didn't want to use disposable nappies. A good friend told us about the chemicals that are in them and also about their impact on the environment.

Our search for the 'right cloth nappy' began about 2 months before she arrived and what a nightmare it was! What I wanted was someone I could go to who would give me honest advice and would only recommend a nappy that they would use on their own child - in a word, to 'simplify' everything. Green Mums aims to do just this. In addition, we only sell products which we have tried and tested ourselves.  Since the arrival of Thomas in 2009 we have tried a huge variety of nappies and both of our children have always been in cloth nappies so rest assured we are experienced in this area!

If you live in Plymouth or surrounding areas, we will be happy to visit you in your own home to give you a nappy demonstration, without obligation.  You are also welcome to visit us (by appointment only please) to view the nappies we have on offer.  We are also available to give real nappy advice at antenatal classes, baby groups, or any kind of group that you would like to host!
